Valentine’s Day: Chocolate Dipped Strawberries

Chocolate is a Valentine’s Day favorite and those with a passion for sweets will enjoy the delightful and refreshing taste of succulent strawberries dipped in scrumptious chocolate. The combination creates an intense dessert that is a great way to end most any meal. Diners will appreciate the chance to indulge while still partaking in something decadent yet healthy and light. Ingredients:

Semisweet chocolate chopped                        (956090)          9 oz.

Strawberries with stem (about 20)                  (83895)            1 lb.

Preparation Instructions:

Place semisweet chocolates in a heatproof medium bowl. Fill 1 medium saucepan with a couple inches of water and bring to simmer over medium heat. Turn off heat and set the bowl of chocolate over the water to melt. Stir until smooth. Once the chocolates are melted and smooth, remove from heat. Line a sheet pan with parchment or wax paper. Hold strawberries by the stem then dip into chocolate. Lift and twist slightly letting any excess chocolate fall back into the bowl. Set strawberries on the parchment paper and allow chocolate to set about 30 minutes.
